Soggy Friday Night

Rain continues tonight however the weekend will be mostly dry and much milder, but with quite a bit of clouds around. More rain returns Sunday night into the first half of Monday. Rain chances will linger into Tuesday and Wednesday with hopefully an extended stretch of dry days beginning on Thursday.

Forecast Discussion

A period of rain can be expected tonight, as overrunning milder air pushes overtop a cooler wedge near the surface. A warm front will lift north of the state this weekend, placing us in a relatively quieter and milder zone. There will be quite a bit of cloudiness, but really not much rain to speak of.

More rain sloshes back into the region Sunday night into the first part of Monday as a cold front presses through the area. Tuesday will be briefly cooler behind the front, then another wave of low-pressure is expected to spread more rain back into the area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

There’s a whole lot of moving parts to this forecast, but right now, Thursday looks dry at the moment.
